About Us

The mission of the society is to educate the members and the public about their families and the county. You'll be amazed at the amazing history in your own family.

The Library features wills, court records, census records, newspapers and abstracts, birth, marriage and death index, completed family histories, surname files that include obituaries, and cemetery books.

The library has existed for 30 years. We run off of donations and memberships. We use this money to publish and mail Branches & Twigs, buy new books and maintain them.
